Orphaned Foal Makes Friends With A Giant Teddy Bear After Being Abandoned By His Mother

We all have our friends and this is really cool!  I am so glad that Breeze found such a great friend! ~Declan

Meet Breeze and Button: Orphaned foal makes friends with a giant teddy bear after being abandoned by his mother

Breeze, a small, sickly foal, who was discovered by farmers in Dartmoore Hill in England, has been given a new stuffed toy to serve as a surrogate mother.

Breeze sleeps with the teddy every night to keep him comforted after being abandoned by his mother in Dartmoor National Park just a few hours after his birth.

Abandoned by his mother days after his birth, a 10-day-old foal now has a new fuzzy friend.
Breeze, a small, sickly foal, was discovered by farmers in Dartmoore Hill in England suffering from severe malnutrition and dehydration after he was apparently abandoned by his mother.

After an appeal to find the pony a new companion, Breeze was given a giant stuffed teddy bear with which to snuggle — appropriately called Button.

Now Breeze is kept company by the 4-foot teddy bear, as he's being nursed back to health by a foal and mare sanctuary at Honeysuckle Farm in Newton Abbot.

According to The Sun, the duo has been inseparable.

The foal's new friend was made possible only by the generosity of the local community. Days earlier, the Mare and Foal Sanctuary had posted a plea asking for stuffed animals for the horse.

The bear appears to watch over Breeze as he slumbers.

Syra Bowden, the executive director at the sanctuary, said: "It's been wonderful to see Breeze interacting with his new teddies and cuddling up to them when he goes to sleep. They are great company for him and provide comfort to him during the brief periods when his carers (sic) are not present."

Bowden also thanked the community for their generosity towards the foal.
